Cadfael was a series of 13 episodes made for the BBC between 1994-1998. Cadfael is a Benedictine monk in 12th Century Shrewsbury (played by Sir Derek Jacobi) who solves different (usually murder) mysteries. This is probably one of the best shows ever.
